NATURE SCHOOL

Nature School is designed with an environmental theme to deal mostly on concurrent and relevant issues that affect our lives. This nature school encompasses the Environmental Education Program and Youth Environment Program. It involves students, youth and communities in nature conservation through formal and informal education modules. The nature school will interact with national park so as to enable students and participants to learn about nature and how wildlife is protected in their natural habitat. The nature school is about environment and conservation through outdoor experience learning. Furthermore, the nature school includes mentorship program to motivate young people to be leaders in conservation.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AWARENESS PROGRAM

YOUTH ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAM

YEP comprises of a young, dynamic team whose vision is to build a better society that cares for its nature and environment. All YEP activities are designed and implemented primarily by young scientists and professionals. YEP TEAM works with communities and students towards a better environment by motivating other young people to usher a change in their attitude towards environment. Volunteers and members of YEP support all WCN's programs and are thus the backbone of WCN. Today more than 300 young individuals have registered as volunteers at YEP in its different programs from all walks of life.

NATURE AND WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY

Nature and Wildlife Photography has been a major part of WCN, for we believe photography can be a powerful advocacy tool for nature conservation. Photography reaches out to people of all ages and from all walks of life. Through this program YEP is trying to provide a platform for nature photographers to do justice to our natural heritage by capturing through pictures through their lenses so that its beauty or plight can reach out to people and bring them together to protect and conserve biodiversity. WCN has been organizing photography workshops in schools and colleges and for its in-house volunteers and this program has been particularly popular amongst the youth.

This program used to be conducted by ECAP and UWP, but due to its immense popularity and its huge forte WCN has decided it make it an independent entity itself and most of its activities are conducted through the YEP Photo Club.
