Conservation song a musical CD launched

To advocate the importance of biodiversity conservation, WCN recorded a Conservation Song in Nepali for the general public of Nepal. Today, most programs that have conservation themes have our music in the background. The song is dedicated to Nepal's flora, fauna and how generations of Nepali have been protecting the landscape and its ecosystem.

The audio CD was released by Dr Uday Raj Sharma, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Forest and Soil Conservation amongst civil society, media personnel and other distinguished guests. The audio CD contains a song entitled "Uthau aba Jagau" which is written by Mr. Himmat Singh "Lekali" a renowned social scientist. Music for this song was composed by Mr. Bhupendra Rayemajhi and vocalists were Ms. Lochhan Bhattarai and Mr. Pradeep Niraula.
